Custom Exterior Dimensional Logo Signage for Pet Rescue Center In Ohio the News
Every so often, a custom signage project comes along that is challenging, fun and creatively stimulating. There is no better example of such a job than the architectural signage for One of a Kind Pet Rescue in Akron, OH.
ASI, Cleveland and ASI, Buffalo worked together to create the custom exterior dimensional logo signage for the “One of a Kind Pet Rescue” center in Akron, OH, which is featured in the Builder’s Exchange Magazine. The project profile author, Niki Swank, writes: “Summit County animals in need gave thanks when the $2.5 million One of a Kind Pet Rescue Adoption Center opened in November 2010….the 8,750 sq. ft. building replaces the former 1,400 sq. ft. building.”
“The facility, which was designed by Bialosky + Partners Architects, is a single-story building with a high pitch in the roof line that provides a grooming area, a behavioral training room, glass viewing rooms for cat/dog adoption and a 35-ft. high vaulted structure that encompasses the retail area.”

Gina Gerken, designer with Studio Graphique, said “ASI helped us select the best materials for the job that fit within our budget, expedite and simplify the design process and achieve the look we had envisioned. We couldn’t be happier with the results.”
Kevin Fromet with ASI, Cleveland said, “The exterior sign was angled on steel columns, therefore we had to engineer horizontal supports to hold the sign in place. Also, the three lined logo uses 3M perforated day/night film to be black during the day and white during the night and block out film in some areas to remain black. It was a very complicated design to bring to life, but we worked directly with the designer to engineer a working solution for both the exterior and interior signage.”
