New Product Launch: Folio™
Folio™ is a secure and reliable paper insert sign which can be combined into modular door and directory signs. Folio™ is composed is two essential elements:
1. Changeable Insert: Acrylic lens or sign panel
2. Sign Holder: Made of stainless steel
Folio™ is available in standard sizes with custom sizes available. The sign holder can be affixed on its own or combined into a system as a modular door or directory sign. The changeable insert that slides into the stainless steel holder can be either a clear lens, tinted lens, non-glare lens, or a panel. There is also the option to mix and match these materials.
Aside from being a paper insert holder, Folio™ can be a permanent sign. The stainless steel holder can be mounted on the wall with a painted lens with ADA applied to the sign face – this signage solution is easy to change and modify.
What Makes Folio™ Different
Folio™ allows for increased design freedom and sign utility through well-planned engineering. The stainless steel holder has been engineered in such a way that it has an intricate radius bend that folds at the top and the bottom to hold the lens in. The smaller the radius bend of a material, the greater the material flexibility. The radius bend for Folio™ is very fine compared to other paper insert holders, which means increased utility and ease of use.
Another unique element of the Folio™ product design is a fixed notch in the stainless steel holders that stop the lenses from sliding too far. With this notch, the lens will naturally come to a stop when you slide it into the stainless steel holder.
In addition, there is an expansion slot that provides the insert additional space for the changeable insert to slide freely. Whether a lens or panel, the changeable insert for Folio™ is made of acrylic. Due to the properties of acrylic, it will expand due to warmer temperatures; The expansion slot provides room for the acrylic to expand without compromising stability.
Together, these engineering factors amount to fewer incidents of the changeable insert jamming and a lower likelihood of scratches to the surface of the insert. With these factors controlled for in advance, you can rest assured that the changeable lens or panel will fit with ease into the future.
What is Possible with Folio™
Folio™ is a complete solution – you can develop an entire interior Sign Family using Folio™. Sign Type options include Permanent Signs, Changeable Signs, Directories, Cubicle Signs and Vacant/In-Use Signs. Folio™ and Jigsaw™ are compatible systems – designers can mix and match modular Jigsaw™ directories or monoliths with added customization options.
Folio™ offers an array of design options that look vastly different, while comprised of the same components. Design options include Folio™ Split where the panel is split in two with space for different components on each side, Invisible Folio™ for mounting on glass with minimal visibility, green-tinted lenses for a glass-like look, paper inserts, and ADA-compliant signs with 3D printed raised letters and braille.
Folio™ is modular, meaning it is changeable and updateable. Engineered to be easy to change on-site and with a fast turnaround for replacement panels and lenses, Folio™ is popular for cubicle signs and workstation signs. When wall-mounted, Folio™ is applied flush to the wall. As a flush-mount solution, there are no cumbersome mechanical fixings required, you simply affix the sign holder to the wall and slide in the lens. It is an easy-to-manage interior sign system.
