Complete Wayfinding and Signage Solution for Charitable Foundation
Opportunity Partners supports people with disabilities and other special needs in their effort to improve their self-sufficiency at work, at home, and in the community. Every day, Opportunity Partners provides personalized employment, housing and education services to 1,500 individuals in the Twin Cities with developmental disabilities, brain injury, autism and other special needs.
Opportunity Partners needed an affordable interior and exterior signage solution for its Koch Technical and Training Campus. The solution had to effectively guide visitors, special needs students, and staff from the outside entries and throughout the interior of the facility and promote Opportunity Partner’s brand identity.
About the Solution
ASI worked with Opportunity Partners management to design, fabricate and install a complete wayfinding and signage solution for the interior and exterior of the campus. Because the special needs challenges of the students and because of the diversity of services offered at the campus, ASI created a color-coded interior wayfinding program.
The interior wayfinding plan is broken into four sections: purple, orange, green and blue. By color coding sections of the campus map on information directories, which are located at key information points throughout the campus, students and visitors are able to easily identify destination point based on a color. Therefore, ASI was able to implement color coded directional and destination information on each sign inside the campus.
In addition to the interior solution, ASI created and installed a post and panel system for the exterior of the campus. The Opportunity Partners brand identity is reinforced on each exterior directional and information sign throughout the campus.
