Plaques Honoring Football Success
Tiger Stadium is an outdoor stadium, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on the campus of Louisiana State University. It is the home stadium of the LSU Tigers’ Football Team.
In 1924, Tiger Stadium opened with a capacity of 12,000. Renovations and expansions have brought the stadium’s current capacity to over 100,000, making it the third-largest stadium in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), the sixth-largest stadium in the NCAA, and the eighth largest stadium in the world.
ASI has completed a variety of projects at LSU. In 2020, ASI added the National Championship Plaque, Heisman Trophy, Bowl Championship Plaques and Individual Player Awards to the existing signage portfolio on the LSU campus.
About the Solution
ASI added plaques to LSU’s Tiger Stadium entrance in order to commemorate LSU’s 2019 National Champions and 2019 Heisman Memorial Trophy and Manning Award winner, Joe Burrow.
In 2018, Joe Burrow transferred to LSU to play for the Tigers, where he became a starter and eventually led LSU to the College Football Playoff National Championship in 2019. He won several awards and honors for his performance, including the Heisman Trophy and Manning Award. Many journalists and sportswriters deemed the season to be one of the greatest ever by a college quarterback.
ASI was honored to work with the Tiger Athletic Foundation on their expansive project to commemorate athletic successes within the Louisiana State University.
